VAPI: The state revenue department has issued a circular to every collector and district development officers (DDOs) to expedite the clearances and adhere to the set guidelines.
The department has also warned that of fixing responsibilities of the officers who are found delaying the files due to procedures that are not required as per actual guidelines.

"We have also directed revenue inspection commissioner to bring every misconduct or irregularities to state government's notice every month," Parimal Shah, joint secretary, revenue department told TOI.
Shah said that the department has received several suggestions on cutting down the red-tapism and if required, more corrigenda will be issued.
TOI had recently highlighted the nuisance of red-tapism in district administration and how the files of title clearances, conversion of agriculture land to non agriculture and others are lying uncleared for long time.
